Delivering Apps To Any Device Using Application Virtualization at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid

Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) use AppsAnywhere as a cost effective alternative to VDI to deliver applications to student devices - on and off campus.

The University's main campus is located in Cantobldanco, a rural area in the northern outskirts of Marid and services over 30,000 students and is home to over 2,000 academic staff.

VDI or Application Virtualization?

UAM faced a familiar problem. How to provide a range of software applications to the student desktop in the most efficient and user friendly way? Early market research suggested that a traditional VDI solution may be the best fit, but further investigation revealed this option could be an expensive way to deliver Windows applications to students, staff and devices.
